This new winter tour takes on an unexpected twist as you are transported by coach to parts of the higher parishes, steeped in history. You will be guided from the coach to wander, by torchlight, through graveyards, into dolmens, or down sanctuary lanes, treading a path taken by thousands of folk, before picking up the coach which will transport you on to the next port of call. Visit places still haunted by their sinister and satanical past and hear stories of the regular ghostly sightings within the parish. You guide will expertly recount tales of German Occupation, and you will be able to visit privately owned concealed bunkers. Tales of tragedies and traumatic historical events are dramatically retold, giving you the chance to understand more about the people who lived in these small parishes, cut off from the hustle and bustle of St Peter Port. Legends, witchcraft, ghost stories and folklore will leave you wondering if you dare switch off the light at night!
